This is the website for Interweave Press, who publish various spinning and weaving magazines (which can often be found in Borders).
The Spinning section has half a dozen articles online about wheel spinning, spindle spinning, plying, making chained singles and drafting. There are a couple of brochures called "Introduction to Spinning" and "Low Tech, High Satisfaction" which is about spindle spinning. These are in pdf, so they can be printed easily.
There is also a "pattern" for making a drop spindle form a couple of give-away cd's and a piece of dowelling. This is something I keep meaning to try.
