I use photobucket for this. There are other ways too, but I haven't used them myself.
1. Go to www.photobucket.com and register. Unless you want to be asked to fill in questionnaires everytime you log in, don't tick the box saying you will.
2. You need to upload your photo onto photobucket. To do this, click on browse this should take you to My Photos or wherever you keep your pictures on the pc. Select the photo you want (right click and select).
Minimise the window.
3. The link to your photo should have appeared in the box beside "browse". Click on Submit. Wait. Sometimes photobucket takes seconds, sometimes minutes.
4. Eventually your photo will appear on the page.
5. If you were to load this on the forum as it is, it would take up most of a post, full width, and take forever for anyone who uses dialup rather than broadband.
6. Click on edit, just above the photo. On the screen you have the option to reduce the size by 25%, 50% or 75%. I usually go for 50%. Once you have changed size, this is the photo that photobucket keeps on file, you can't make it bigger again without going back and uploading another image.
7. Go back to the main photobucket page, below your image are three options. You want the last one with the IMG tags. Click to select, and it will go grey in the box, copy this (Ctrl + C), minimise the photobucket page, click in the post where you want the photo and then Paste (Ctrl + V). The "address" should appear in the post with IMG tags at the beginning and end.
8. Finish the post, and Submit.
or
Go back and do the same again for the next photo.
