There are exciting things going on in the Blackdown hills on the Devon Somerset Border!
The Blackdown Hills Natural Fibre Group are highliting the lack of access to fibre that has not travelled miles with an exhibition of goods produced from local animals, along with fairlytraded plant fibres such as banana leaf and hemp fibre. There are goodies for sale and its a knitters paradise!
There will be a chance to have a go at peg looming raw fleece and weaving.
So if you are in the area please pop in and say hello................and also some of my new lambs are in the field where the gallery is situated so you can say ahhhhhhhhh to my Shetlands!!
When? 2nd - 14th April
Location?
the village of Bishopswood near Chard in Somerset.
please contact me if you need directions _________________ www.smallholdinginsomerset.blogspot.com |
