Himself finished these off for me last night. Little rigid heddle looms 1.25 inches across for 9 warp threads in black walnut, based on a type known from the Roman period onwards and perfect for making little ribbons and braids. Also great for teaching new people the basics of weaving as the shed is so apparrant in use and the weaving can be tied between your belt and anything handy, so no loom needed (though I do have a rather nifty box loom he made that takes one nicely)
Going to try these out on the stall this weekend if I can work out a sensible price for them They are so cute, just 6x3.5cm approx |
