Does anyone have any special tips about spinning alpaca? Is there a best way of spinning it to keep the lovely soft feel or is it all down to the quality of it?

I just spin it the same way I would a merino top, I find you need enough twist to hold it together properly but the trick is not so much that you lose that lovely silken feel.

I've got a couple a couple of skiens of handspun alpaca hanging around somewhere - would you like me to send you a bit so you can see what it's like finished? It's destined for socks eventually, but I've plenty, and can easily spare you a couple of yards - its lovely!
