Hello,

Just wanted to let you know about two workshops I will be running in Harrogate, N.Yorkshire. The first one is Sat 4th Nov, 10 to 3. This is felt making for beginners, the second is on Sat 2nd Dec 10 to 3, this will cover resist felting (making a seamless bag). The cost is £25.00, this includes all materials, instruction sheets to take away and drinks. If you are interested please get in touch.

Thank you,

Beth

Good luck Beth!

Any tips you have afterwards about running felting workshops, do shout! I'm gathering info prior to offering some hat making workshops in about 2 years times and I'd be really interested to hear any thoughts from the tutors perspective, plus if you want to share your insurance contact I'd be eternally grateful!

Just phoned them to check, you need to put it in writing that you are doing workshops and cover will be added at no extra cost.

Beth

hello, just did the workshop in Feb, i cancelled the others as I was worried i wouldn't get enough people on to make it worth while. Instead i did some local craft fairs to drum up interest for the workshop, worked a treat and i had a full class. It went really well, I took masses of wool so the students had a wide range of colours to work with, this went down well. i also laminated some instructions for them to take away, which everyone appreciated. i am now planning a felt a bag workshop, as a few of the students are interested in coming back to learn more.
