what sort of knitting machine? I keep telling myself I'll book a week off to learn how to use mine properly and knit up some of the stash, but the year is just whizzing past

I bought a chunky one out of the local paper recently which I've yet to use. I bought it because I decided I wanted to do chunky knitting and of course as soon as I did that I decided I also wanted to do fine Very Happy

I've got Martha Roberts booklets about dyeing machine knitted blanks and unravelling them but not a machine that'll knit 4 ply so I'm watching a machine on ebay. It says it's a convertible and will do fine - chunky. I haven't bid on it yet - just watching to see what happens.

I really like your site, and I am SO impressed that you did it all yourself.
I am playing with a shop site at the moment, but I'm not as brave as you!

I think it was a case of fortune favouring the tight fisted Very Happy

I had a lot of technical help from people in places like Downsizer, I'm still learning really.

Go for it natalie - it's addictive Smile
