york guilddoes anyone belong to the york guild of weavers, spinners and dyers? I e-mailed a week or two ago to to see about joining and have heard nothing back.

I was a member last year but to be honest, I wasn't overly impressed. I did get my spinning wheel from there and picked u some lovely fibres and advice on an open day but I didn't really like the atmosphere and although the people there were friendly I really felt like I was an odd one out because I didn't spin laceweight yarn in natural colours and with plenty of lanolin. Do you know what I mean?
It could have been me, so don't let me put you off but I haven't renewed my membership this year. I just didn't see the point of travelling from Hull when I wasn't enjoying it.
