Where............

.........has everyone gone? Confused
Catherinechaos

I don't know! I have wondered if we're all so busy doing our woolly stuff that we haven't got time to spare - I know I've seen quite a few people who post here at Woolfest so if that is the reason, it's fantastic!

I thoroughly enjoyed myself at Woolfest Very Happy Bought the following Very Happy

100g undyed BFL sock yarn (can't remember company),
undyed 50% Suri Alpaca/50% Merino 4ply & 50% baby Alpaca/50% Merino aran (both 50g) and from DT Craft Design,
200g undyed Merino DK from Whingham Wool Work,
mini starter kit containing natural dyes (madder, myrobalan, indigo and pomegranite) from Pure-Tinctoria
200g unwashed Wensleydale pedigree sheep fleece
a sample pack of rovings from various colours of Shetland sheep
100g skein hand dyed sock yarn (shades of paleblue/greens) from Natalie at the Yarnyard
Have already had some fun dyeing, and spinning, but most of my time is being spent knitting, my first grandchild is due in December Very Happy
Stitchwitch

Seems to be more or less abandoned; another Forum bites the dust............... Sad

Won't bother coming back I think; shame, it had a lot of potential.

To be fair stitchwitch, a forum is only as good as the people who post on it. I don't know why people aren't posting but if they don't then we can't reply can we? Smile

I'm here, I look in most days but havent seen much activity.Up to my ears in felting pointy hats right now, and the general school holiday chaos makes it hard to find a minute

I'm still here, got side tracked by woolfest, and now it's the summer holidays, so it's not easy, perhaps it will pick up when the kids are back to school. Don't know how many of our members are parents?
Catherinechaos

I'm a parent and I think it does make a huge difference to the amount of time you have, when I have spare time I'm spinning and dyeing, not so much on the computer, having said that I look at this site regularly to see what's going on, I'd be sorry to see it go.

I'm still here too! I think that wooly stuff is a bit of a winter activity - I'm saving practicing on my spinning wheel till then, as the garden takes more than it's fair share of my attention this time of year.

Rest assured I will be bleating for help when I dust off my wheel as the evenings draw in - I have managed to spin something resembling yarn, but haven't got much further yet!
