The last week in SeptemberIt's definitely autumnal now, a bit of mist in the field behind my house this morning.
The Thursday challenge was a big spur to getting things done, so does anyone fancy a "clear the decks before the end of the week" challenge?
I have cast on my second rainbow sock (see blog), in an attempt to avoid second sock syndrome.
This week I have to fit in two physio appointments, and a load of dyeing.
Today is going to be a greens and blues day.
Tomorrow will be something different, but I don't know what.
projects, anyone?

I went to the hobbycrafts show in exeter last week and came away with a soldering iron and loads of sparkly fabric. I'm caught up in learning how to use that at the moment - al la this woman

I'll put some pics on the blog later. I'm just making little things like hairslides for now until I get better at it but I have a plan in mind for a full size thing.

I have to stiffen some hats today, I've also just been to the hairdresser! (shock horror gasp, first trip in well over 6 years!) So I'm feeling too glamourous to do anything too messy today
That will wear off in about 20 minutes I reckon, so hats, lunch, and starting a pair of socks is todays task I think

Stacy, Margaret Beal is great, we had her at our guild to do 2 days of workshops it was wonderful, your hair slides look good, well done.
Sally, What do you use for stiffening your hats? I use a product from Beacon called 'Stiffen Stuff' would like to try something else as this seems to take ages to dry and altered the surface of one bowl.
Nice to have some sunny warm weather for end of Sept! lst night was EG guild night, booked on 3 coach trips, Fashion and Embroidery and the K&S Show Harrogate, and Art of the Stitch/The Vorrey day out. Love this timeof yer but can be expensive!
Today I will finish the felted hat I am in the middle of and think about a band to go around it - might spin some of the wool and make a braid - not sure yet. Having cut and sewn the felted waistcoat, just must get on and blanket stitch the edge and attach dyed muslin around neck line.
