Sunday 16th JulySet to be another scorcher, I think. My chickens were hiding under the eglu cover yesterday trying to get some shade.
How was France, SF? Did you take a spindle or a wheel with you this time?
What's everyone up to today?

It's been really hot here today too. I wanted to spend some time at the allotment but we decided to stay away today because there's very little shade there. I went this afternoon just to do a quick watering and pick whatever needed picking. Less than half an hour and I could feel the sun scorching my arms. We've done very little today, just sitting in the shade trying to keep cool.

Spun another skein of the merino/3 ply combination.
Also made dinner tonight, just baked potatoes and salad, but my ankle is now sore, so I'm treating it with paracetamol and elderberry wine!

I`m not getting much knitting or spinning done. It`s the school holidays and we were away for eight days so the allotment is looking a bit weedy, not to mention groaning with produce! I spent six hours over the weekend just weeding and picking, then another hour back home cleaning the haul and processing the excess for the freezer. And this week it looks like I`ll be making jam, jam and more jam....
