pink, turquoise, purple and a wee extra

I was given these by my teenage son.

and I turned some of it into these.

From left to right.
Pink on its own (drop spindle)
All three together (drop spindle)
Pink with some turquoise angelina, given to me by Spinning Fishwife, at our guild open day (drop spindle)
Turquoise and purple with an added extra. (Wheel-spun)

This is the added extra!
It is the first "exotic yarn" I have spun, and was the first I did on my own wheel. The thread is a Gutermann sewing thread I have had in my sewing box for at least ten years. I tried using it in my sewing machine but it just won't feed through the needle, and I just couldn't be bothered with threading it into the bobbin and doing upside-down quilting, so it sat there waiting for me to discover spinning!

Only question now, is what to do with it?

A fancy yarn like that might make a lovely stripe near the top of a sock, you'd only need to knit in a row or two for a funky effect. Or Maybe in a knit-and felt bag made with all sorts of odds and ends?

Hi Natalie, That yarn is beautiful. I have loads of that thread that refuses to go through the sewing machine (thought it was just me Shocked ) now all I have to do is teach myself to spin thinner instead of all lumpy and bumpy.
