Hit a spinning slumpAfter my efforts last week to produce a skein of useable yarn I seem to have hit a slump.I have got some BFL roving undyed and have been spinning that, but it isnt inspiring me at all and I havent got the confidence/experience to dye it myself yet. I have fallen back on my trusty dpn's and am knitting myself some socks, but I need to find some inspirational rovings. Any ideas on who does variegated or space dyed rovings.....preferably BFL or Merino or merino/silk? What do you ladies do when you hit a slump? Claire UK |

www.twistfibrecraft.co.uk do a space dyed merino roving. I can't see it on their website but I was there yesterday and they had it in their shop. I'm sure if you phoned they'd do mail order on it.

You know, I would just grit your teeth and try dyeing. That is what I did, I taught myself and it really helped me get on with it.
I draw inspiration from all around me...so look at your favourite flowers or cartoon characters or something for some inspiration! |
