Accommodation for exhibitors

It says in the letter confirming the stalls booking that they'll be in touch soon about camping for exhibitors etc. It also says they've reserved the Lakeland Sheep and Wool Centre for exhibitors and special guests. Does that mean that there will be camping accommodation available for those of us with stalls? I know at Wonderwool you can camp at the showground if you have a stall - I was wondering if it's the same at Woolfest and that I don't have to go into a hissy panic about booking accommodation Confused

I didn't notice that... so I booked B&B....

Crying or Very sad

No camping available - pretty slack I think. Wonderwool do camping for £18, with Woolfest it's going to cost me £80. Here's hoping I sell some stuff.

last year I got camping down the road for £15 a night including electric cars ect, It was near keswick but still very reasonable if you don't mind being squeezed in like sardines

Thanks for that - have emailed them. It's the elctric hook up for tents that appeals to me (though I don't know what I'd use it for Very Happy ) We don't know whether to bring the kids or not - there's not too many 'facilities' for them at that site by the look of things.

we have an electric hook up and we use it for our lighting ( we use a halfords car inspection lamp ) we also have a plug in cool box, phone charger and in the cooler months a little portable heater.

there is not a lot on site but there are some lovely walks nearby and some good fields for playing in. there is very little room on site so no football ect. my hubby will be coming with us so he can watch the boys and take them out for the day whilst me and mum man the stall

Last year I camped at a very simple but clean and friendly campsite about ten minutes drive away from Woolfest...no facilities at all for kids, just a field with spectacular views and a toilet block. Not sure about hook-ups, but there were caravans and campers so I assume they were there.

Just a comment on hook-ups...I`m kind of assuming that if you`re not sure what you would want to use a hook up for then you don`t have the appropriate electric hook up device? (These are the big units that have a round blue caravan type plug at one end, weatherproof cable and a junction box with RCD and one or three sockets in the other.) You can`t use the site electrics without one and they cost between £40-80. They plug into the campsite electrics and it`s not safe or indeed possible to use the campsite electrics without one.

I have one and though I`d never bother with it for a weekend, on longer trips we have a small 3-way camping fridge, lamp, chargers for phones and batteries for the camera and Gameboys, my hairdryer and (really sad this!!) the little portable car DVD player that we take on long journeys. All mod cons in our tent, y`know!
jadeandchrissy

yes we ahve the proper ones, there were some really dodgy ones for sale on ebay a while ago which were so dangerous and nothing more than a normal household cable with a camping socket welded on the end.

we got ours a good while ago when they were still very expensive Confused I think they are a must especially when the kids are still so young and get very cold easily

I've been offered the loan of one from someone who goes camping a lot. There wouldn't be much point in me buying one I don't think. It's the hairdryer option that's selling it to me and the fact that I'll be working, not really holidaying, so the though of being able to put my feet up with a cup of tea and maybe watch Corrie has a certain appeal Very Happy
