|

Hello, ladies,
I'm trying to spin some alpaca on my drop spindle and it just keeps faalling apart.
I have washed and dried it, lightly carded it into rolags, and am using my 50g bottom whorl drop spindle.
Any ideas as to where I am going wrong please? Ireaaly want some alpace mitts this year

OK, I've got the hang of this now but.....
How do I know when my drop spindle is full enough? Do I just keep going until I cant fit any more on?
Thanks, Claire UK |

Hmmmm interesting question and there are probably as many answers as there are spinners! I stop when the spindle feels like its getting too heavy - its very subjective! Not much of an answer I'm afraid.
