Hi, My name is Lisa,I'm a reborn spinner (learnt at college in my teens , but couldn't drum up the money or right excuse to get my own wheel until now!).
I'm married with three kids and a mentally challenged border collie- yes, he tries to round up rovings Laughing . I'm interested in anything fibre or fabric related but I've got fibromyalgia which has pretty much slowed my knitting and crochet down to a slow amble so spinning things for other people to create with helps service my addiction.
We're hopefully going to woolfest if we can find a caravan site which isn't booked up, fingers crossed!

hello - it's a bit quiet around here at the moment - I think all the proper fibre-addicts are getting ready for wonderwool and other shows.

I have two mad border collies, but mine are afraid of sheep. I think they can probably deal with rovings, but I expect them to hide from my spinning wheel (I'm not a proper spinner - still sourcing a wheel!)

You'd be surprised how quickly the wheel becomes an invisible thing! Mines a Louet S10 so hides in corners quite well, I've found the dog asleep with his head on the treadle and his favourite thing is to come and sit next to the wheel when I'm spinning so he gets a free back rub! (for about a nanosecond!)
