Hi thought i would introduce myself here. I have been knitting felting and dyeing for an eternity(seems that long ..ha) Just before christmas i bought my first wheel, an ashford traditional. were not friends at the moment, it might help if i read the book on spinning that came with it, lol.
Anyway, looking forward to some great fibery chats and er i thought i would show you my little melon that i made for the pin cushion challenge shameless plug ,Ha. over at... http://www.boogaj.com/pincushion_challenge/

That looks great Wendy, welcome.
I started felting last year and have made a couple of bags and some insoles so far. I'll look forward to picking your brain, I want to attempt slippers next!  |

I love the melon. Watermelon is the only kind my husband eats...and the only kind I don't!
It's great to see you here, and thanks for adding the dropped spindle to your blog (I noticed it nestling there in the list on the right).
I have posted a link to a site you might like in the spinning section, and added a books/websites section too as a resource.

The melon is fabulous! I love quirky stuff like that. So far my felting has been very 'natural' using coloured fleeces.
I'm looking forward to experimenting a little more.
