I was up early today (5.30 a.m. again), so I've been exploring on the web and came up with this inspirational site. Check it out:
http://knittingiris.typepad.com/k...ng_iris/natural_dyeing/index.html
OK, so it's an American site, so we don't have access to the same plant range, but ooh, my fingers are fairly itching to try some of these out.
I hadn't even thought of saving dyebaths from natural dyestuffs in the fridge, so they could be reused for over-dyeing. Anyone else done this? |

Lovely site BB (now we know what you get up to in the early hours of the day!), thanks for posting it. |

I've kept natural dyes in ice-cream tubs in the freezer for future use - still get good results.
