|
|
Hello ladies,
I have 100g of tussah silk and 200g merino rovings from P & M woolcraft. and I want to dye them and spin them together.
How do I do it so they match? Do I dye them together in layers?
I am using steam-fix silk dyes because it worked well individually on the Merino I dyed last week. I was thinking of the cling film/microwave method cledryspinner suggested but can figure out how i get them matching colours.
Thanks, Claire UK |

I'm far from expert at dyeing but I would dye them in the same dyepot. The colours still won't match exactly because the different fibres will take the dye differently. Your other alternative would be to blend the fibres before (or even after) dyeing.
